Larger vehicle fleet in Lünen city harbour

EWT Schiffahrtsgesellschaft mbH offers the entire transport chain exactly according to customer requirements. The bottom line is: collection and delivery of goods as required, multimodal transhipment and interim storage in warehouses in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Growing demand

For more than three years, the Lünen location has been firmly established in the EWT supply chain. Open and covered storage areas for bulk goods are offered in the city harbour there. And this with growing demand.

In order to continue to be able to meet this demand in line with demand, the high-performance modern vehicle fleet at the Lünen city harbour location was expanded once again. The trucks, which are equipped with steel and aluminium troughs, are in operation around the clock in order to process the actual volume as required.

Continuous availability of contact persons 24 hours a day, seven days a week, ensures optimum scheduling of transports and goods.

Additional services

Upon request, EWT experts can support the customer’s quality management. In this way, various parameters of the incoming and outgoing goods (e.g. pH content, grading curve, etc.) can be determined on site so that the goods can pass through the transport chain in the specification requested by the customer. In addition, EWT’s forwarding fleet, as a qualified partner, is equipped with the appropriate transport permits for waste transports.

Move a lot – EWT at transport logistic 2019

The Port of Duisburg is the largest inland port in the world. It is considered the hub of Central Europe. More than 20,000 ships and 25,000 trains are handled here every year. Around 250 companies and logistics service providers are based on an area of 1,550 ha and handle goods of all kinds by ship, truck and train. EWT Schiffahrtsgesellschaft mbH is part of the logistics system.

With its central location, the Port of Duisburg is an ideal starting point for goods of all kinds. Around 30 million consumers live within a radius of only 150 kilometres in the Ruhr area, the Lower Rhine and the adjoining Rhineland. Every week, 400 freight train connections depart from Duisburg across the Ruhr area to the ports of Europe and Asia.  Thanks to the multimodal transport chains covered here and the new transcontinental connection to China, the port is rightly one of the most important logistics hubs in and across Europe.

One more reason why we as EWT will be presenting ourselves at the transport logistic from 4 to 7 June at the Munich Trade Fair Centre.

transport logistic – the leading exhibition Munich 2019

Hub Munich: New impulses for the logistics sector

What are the benefits of the Rail Freight Master Plan? What does Brexit mean for the logistics segment? What are the challenges, advantages and disadvantages of digitisation for logistics companies? These and other questions will be discussed by logistics industry players at this year’s transport logistic from 4 to 7 June at Messe München. With over 2,000 international exhibitors, transport logistic is the world’s leading trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management, and every two years it offers a comprehensive programme on the logistics market, trends and innovations in the sector.

Both the conference programme and the Career Day will focus, among other things, on the lack of specialists in the logistics sector. On the career day of transport logistic, employers and employees will meet directly on site at JobMatching – a kind of speed dating. The search for junior staff, changed job profiles and requirements will also be discussed live by high-ranking representatives from the business and logistics sectors. A further highlight of the fair are the specific logistics networks, such as air cargo Europe, where the air freight industry exchanges information, and metropolitan logistic. Here, everything revolves around the “logistics of the last mile”, i.e. CEP services and city logistics, such as competition for space on inner-city roads or the topic of sustainability in city logistics.

EWT Schiffahrtsgesellschaft mbH is a high-performance, solution-oriented logistics service provider in the fields of shipping, freight forwarding and transhipment and therefore participates in transport logistic. We look forward to welcoming you at our stand no. 101/202 in Hall B3 and to talking to you about the market, trends and innovations in the transport and logistics industry. If you are interested in our services, e.g. piece and special cargo transport or transhipment, storage and forwarding, please do not hesitate to make an appointment with us at the fair.
